At North Florida Stem Cells, we are continually working to provide families with additional tools and resources that may help support the overall health and wellness of children with autism.
In addition to our stem cell therapy services, gut dysbiosis evaluation/treatment, and FRAT testing, we are pleased to announce that we will now be offering baseline laboratory screening that can conveniently be performed during your child’s stem cell treatment visit.
It can be very challenging to obtain lab work from children, especially those with Autism. Our sedative protocol offers a unique opportunity to draw blood in a stress free environment and is extremely pertinent to the patient’s overall health and wellness.
These laboratory studies are designed to screen for several common medical conditions that may contribute to or worsen autism-related symptoms, including but not limited to:
Our office staff will collect the laboratory specimens, properly tube and label them, and send them to a local laboratory for processing and analysis.
The laboratory will bill your insurance company directly when applicable. Any balances not covered by insurance may be billed to the parent or guardian by the laboratory.
Once the results are received by our office, our nurse practitioner will personally review the findings with you by phone to help you better understand your child’s results. Copies of the laboratory results will also be provided to you so they may be shared with your child’s pediatrician or specialist for any further evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment if needed.
There is a $150 fee for our office’s collection, coordination, review, and follow-up services related to this laboratory screening program. Currently, we do not plan to deviate from the proposed labs but may consider adding or subtracting labs in the future.
